Idioms are more than just words — they reveal how different cultures think, joke, and see the world. Every language carries its own set of expressions, shaped by history, tradition, and everyday life. Their meanings are rarely literal, yet somehow that's exactly what makes them so essential to how we communicate.

This project takes a playful, slightly ironic look at idioms by turning them into real-life images. Inspired by Bruno Munari's Supplement to the Italian Dictionary, it works as both a visual textbook and a bit of visual comedy. By translating idioms into photographs, the meanings become instantly clearer, while also revealing just how strange, funny, and inventive language can be.
